Vancouver trip

Vancouver Day 1 – Family, Food & a Little Rain

Woke up at 5 AM today and hopped on a flight to Vancouver with the whole family. It’s been a while since we all traveled together, so it already felt like a special day. Calgary greeted us with clear skies and sunshine, but Vancouver… well, true to its reputation, it welcomed us with rain and chilly weather.

Our first stop was my sister-in-law’s place. We had a cozy lunch there, followed by some tea. The little ones went straight to the pool, while the older kids caught a movie and even squeezed in a few rounds of bowling.

As for my wife and me, we hung out near the pool for a bit before heading out on our own little mini-date. We stopped by a Korean-style café called Venti and grabbed a matcha latte—perfect for the rainy afternoon. Then off we went to Richmond Shopping Centre for some well-deserved shopping. I picked up a windbreaker coat, and my wife found a super stylish leather vest she absolutely loved.

We ended the day back at my sister-in-law’s place, where she had a feast waiting for us—yukgaejang (spicy beef soup) and snow crab. Let’s just say… we didn’t hold back.

That’s a wrap for Day 1 in Vancouver—family time, great food, and a splash of West Coast rain.
